Walter Hisel

Walter J. Hisel, 72, of Bradley passed away at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago IL. on May 28, 2009. He was born January 22, 1937 in Kankakee IL. to Leonard F. and Evelyn (Warren) Hisel. Walter retired after 25 years as a supervisor at Ropers. He was the past Governor of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed woodworking and gardening.Walter is survived by his wife, the former Judith Smith who is of Bradley, sons and daughters in law, Walter J. Jr. and Joyce Hisel of New Castle IN., William Hisel of Bradley, Richard Hisel of Belleville IL., Charles and Amy Hisel of Limestone, David Smith of Chebanse, and Nic Smith of Bradley, daughters and sons in law, Jaqueline A. Heun and Chuck Savois of Bradley, Carolyn Hisel, Alan Wendling of Kankakee and Cindy (Mike) Green of Goldriver, Theresa M. and George Schwass of Bradley, and Mary and Steven Longtin of Bradley. He is also survived by sisters in law and brothers in law, Josie Hisel of Spring Valley IL., Elaine Tucker of Bradley, Carol and Dennis Benoit of Chebanse, and Juanita and Eugene Nordmeyer of Chebanse, brothers in law, Roy Lamontange of Bourbonnais, David Boness of Chebanse, and John Deboer of Peotone, along with one sister in law Elizabeth Radamacher of Grant Park IL. Walter had 28 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Frances Hisel, 2 children Cynthia and Anthony, brother Leonard, brother Dennis, sister Barb LaMontagne and 2 grandchildren Randale Arnold and Tease Rose Hisel.
