Passed away on October 6, 2006 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Victoria was born on September 20, 1910 in Janow, Poland, the daughter of John and Frances (Krol) Skalski. Victoria married Frank Haiduk on August 1, 1931. Victoria was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, calligraphy and was very interested in politics. She was very proud of her accomplishment of graduating from high school at the age of 70. Her family was special to her and she was the number one fan of her great grandchildren's extra curricular activities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; a son, Michael; a brother, Peter Skalski; and two sisters, Helen Goodrich and Stella Skalski. Surviving are her daughter, Gail (Dale) Easter; 7 grandchildren, Kim (Christopher) Miller, Kathy (Ronald) Kuivenhoven, Karen (Gary) Burton, Brian Easter (Kathleen Easter), Sue (Steven) Stablein, Stacy (Brad) Tatum and Sean Haiduk; 11 great-grandchildren, Andrew and Matthew Kuivenhoven, Jessica and Shane Easter, Sidney, Grace and Cole Stablein, Sophia Tatum, Hunter, Derek and Lorin Miller; a brother, John (Neata) Skalski; a sister, Julie (Felix) Kuzma; a daughter-in-law, Lucy Haiduk; a sister-in-law, Mary Skalski; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, October 8, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. at REDMOND Funeral Home 4100 S. Westnedge - 343-6156 Where a Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 9, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Kalamazoo, Fr. David Grondz, Celebrant. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
