Vernon O. Grob

Vernon was born on October 5, 1909 in Pilot Twp. to Alma Oberlin and George Grob. He married Lucille Jensen on February 23, 1936 in Bonfield, IL. She died August 29, 2001. Vernon was a dairy farmer in the Herscher and Bonfield area all his life. He retired in 1975. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and a member of Grand Prairie Methodist Church in Bonfield. Vernon enjoyed fishing, baseball, basketball and bowling.He is survived by three sons, Ralph Grob of Bonfield, IL., Robert Grob, Richard Grob and his special friend, Paula Finch of Crest Hill, IL. one daughter and son-in-law, Ronda and Stan Wenzelman of Bonfield, IL., two sisters, Luella Fecke of Bonfield, IL., and Fern Grob of Kankakee, IL., six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, and two brothers, Arlo and Elwood.
