Mr. Judd died Thursday, May 4, 2006 at his home. He worked for the National Association of Attorneys General and retired from the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. in 2005. He served as a special agent with the FBI from 1964 until 1972. He was born December 15, 1940, in Omaha, Neb., the son of Dr. Delbert K. and Jane Scott Judd. While living in Kankakee, during the 1980's, he practiced law and was very involved in city politics. He served as city attorney in Kankakee for nearly 15 years and also in Goodyear, Ariz. He received his bachelor's degree from Olivet Nazarene University and a law degree from the University of Illinois. He was a member of and senior warden at St. Paul Episcopal Church. He was also a member of the Legal Aid Society, board president for the Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra for many years, and a member of the Kankakee Rotary Club. He loved to read, especially history. He enjoyed all types of music and also touring historical places, especially Civil War battlefields. He did volunteer work for the blind.Surviving are his wife, the former Pamela Sue Shaw, whom he married July 22, 2001, in Bristol Va.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Caroline and Angelo Setta of Crown Point, Ind., and Sara Judd Romano of Kankakee; three grandchildren, Nicole, Thomas and Gabriella; one sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Brian Zelly of London, England; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, John Scott Judd of South Elgin, and James and Ingrid Judd of St. Charles. His parents are deceased.
