Obituary
Susan "Sue" Kay Rogers, 73, of Climax, MI passed away on Saturday, February 15 in Holland, MI with her family by her side. She was born on November 2, 1951 to the late Eleanor (Sowles) & George Deerwester. She was a 1969 graduate of Climax-Scotts High School and attended Kellogg Community College. Sue retired from Hardings Friendly Market in Galesburg, MI in 2017 after 46 years of service. Her natural strong work ethic and congenial spirit allowed her to develop many friendships and memories during her long career. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Sue's loving spirit, selflessness, devotion to her faith, family and friends will be remembered by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who loved her. Surviving Sue is her son Lance (Erin) Rogers; two grand children, Bowen Kobylack and Marcella Rogers; her loving sisters: Diane (Charlie) Hobbs, Judi (Gary) Frederick and Barb Shelley. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 1st at 12:00 noon at Climax United Methodist Church, located at 133 E Maple St, Climax, MI 49034. An hour of visitation will take place prior to the service. Following the service, burial will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
