Sophia Fiebig

Sophia Margaret Fiebig, aged 91, of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2008. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeffrey Michael Fiebig and several brothers and sisters. Sophia will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 71 years, Edgar; children, Robert (Patricia), Thomas (Karen), John (fiancée Terri Velting) Fiebig; grandchildren, Timothy, Lori, Christine, Michael, Matthew, Ryan, Jennifer; several great grandchildren; great great grandson; sisters, Edna and Margaret; and many nieces and nephews. Sophia enjoyed and was spectacular at cooking, gardening and playing cards. Most of all Sophia loved her family. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave. NE with Rev. Gordon Goltz officiating. Friends and relatives may greet the Fiebig family on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday from 10 a.m. till the time of service.
