Shirley (Mulligan) Russell

Mrs. Shirley Louise Russell (nee Mulligan), aged 66, of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 15, 2007, after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Thomas Russell; her children, Pamel (Ben) Brocato, Reathel Brown, Darel (Julie) Russell, Keith M. Russell, Melani (Brian) Lawrence; grandchildren, Melanie (Bob) Sullivan, Nicole (Kenton) Tjarks, Jessi (D.J.) Sterk, Jillian Russell, Travis Olczak, Jamee Brown, Caitlyn Russell, Benjamin Brown, Rachel Lawrence, Josh Lawrence; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Noah Sullivan; her siblings, Richard Mulligan, Beatrice (Bob) Ellis, Adele Barney, Lorraine (Tom) Letcher, Michael Mulligan, Valerie (Alan) Fyvie, Patrick (Joan) Mulligan; sister-in-law, Ann (Ted) Yanski; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Orilla Mulligan, sister Fay Beaune. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church. Shirley was a retiree of General Motors Plant #2 Alpine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church. (She will repose in church one hour prior to Mass) Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Arsulowicz Brothers Mortuary, Remembrance Chapel, 3525 Remembrance Rd where a Vigil Service will be held Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions to Holy Spirit Education Fund will be appreciated.
