KOEHN - Sarah Amelia Koehn passed from this earth into the arms of her Beloved Savior on Sunday, February 15, 2009. Sarah was born on August 9, 1924 to Edward and Clara Koehn in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was a long time employee of Michigan National Bank downtown Grand Rapids. She leaves to mourn her sisters, Elda Brune of Pennsylvania, Dorothy Terpstra of Grand Rapids; and her brother, Paul and Betty Koehn of Belmont; her niece who loved her dearly, Diane and John Novak of Freeport, Michigan; three nephews and two other nieces; great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many dear friends. A private burial has taken place and a memorial service will be this summer along Lake Michigan, her favorite place. Memorial contributions can be made in Sarah's name to the Humane Society. She loved her dogs. Also memorials can be made to her church Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Baldwin in Jenison. Read her favorite Psalms tonight as you think of her, Psalm 90 and Psalm 91. Our hope is in Christ - John 3:16 and John 14:1-3. Sarah loved her Lord Jesus with all her heart. Sarah will be missed but not forgotten. We will see her again in Heaven with our Lord and King. We wish to thank the pastors and congregation of Holy Cross who ministered and comforted Sarah all these many months. Also a big thank you to Greenview/Heartland Nursing Home on Leonard N.E. staff and to Carol, her hospice nurse for the loving care they provided to Sarah. Romans 8:38 and 39 "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things, present, nor things to come, nor height , nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
