Life Story / Obituary
Samuel “Sam” Martin Menard, age 37, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at his home in Bradley, IL. Sam was born to Lois and Gene Menard on November 5, 1975 in Kankakee, IL. He graduated from BBCHS in 1993, and worked a variety of jobs before he began his favorite job working at Bon Vivant Country Club in the pro shop. Sam enjoyed golfing more than anything else, and shot a hole in one at age 13. He was the former winner of the Merrick Golf Tournament and received many awards for his talent as a golfer. He was an avid body builder, and hoped one day to become a personal trainer to share his knowledge and passion for fitness with others. He absolutely loved being outdoors, especially while spending time with his children.
Sam is survived by his children Breanna Nicole Menard of Kankakee, IL, and Benjamin Nicklaus Menard of Bonfield, IL, his parents Gene and Lois Menard of Bradley, IL., brothers Anthony (Nikki) Menard of Lincoln, NE., and Daniel (Danielle) Menard of Dracut, MA., sisters Bridgett (Matt) Keenan of Bourbonnais, IL., and Sue Brueggert of Cissna Park, IL. and his former wife Michelle Menard of Bonfield, IL.
A time of gathering will take place on Monday, January 28, 2013 from 4pm-7pm at Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes Kankakee Chapel.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 11am at Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes Kankakee Chapel.
