MANSHUM - Rodney Brock Manshum of Clio, Michigan went to join his Lord on Thursday July 9, 2009 at the age of 72 years. Rodney was born and raised in Grand Rapids. He traveled extensively as a tour bus driver. He enjoyed meeting new people and remembering them by name. Rodney is survived by his sister, Carol Lee Verrell-Nielsen of Grand Rapids; stepsisters, Kathleen Strobe and Ruthmary Kaiser; nieces, Judith Ruediger and Lee Ann LaDronka; several great nieces, nephews and cousins. Rodney was predeceased by his ex-wife and friend of 50 years, Joanne Manshum and by his parents, Cordelia (nee Brock) Manshum and Harry Manshum. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 15, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Faith Hospice Trillium Woods chapel in Byron Center officiated by Rev. Carole Strobe-Lyman and Dr. Donald Strobe. Interment will be at Rest Lawn Memorial Park in Grand Rapids at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hurst Funeral Home in Greenville, MI. 616-754-6616. The family would like to thank Rodney's life-long friend, Larry Larson, and McLaren Hospice for their care in the last weeks of his life.
