STEED MR. ROBERT Belmont Mr. Robert Steed, age 89, died on July 19, 2012, and entered eternal life with His Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ferguson Steed, and wife, Verna Mol Steed. He is survived by his wife, Jerene Beltman Steed; and his children, Carol Steed, Jim (Robin) Steed, Marilyn (Gene) Ahrens, and John (Shelly) Steed; his step-children, Ed (Christine) Mol, Dan (Paula) Mol, Julie (Brant) Cuthbert, Ron (Lisa) Mol, and Marilyn (Jeff) Batchelder. Also surviving are his sister Lois (John) Wilson and sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda Ferguson, Darwin Young, Harold (Alma) Beltman, Shirley Beltman, and Norma Gebben, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 25 step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The Service of Praise and Thanksgiving for the gift of everlasting life will be Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Blythefield Hills Baptist Church, 6727 Kuttshill Dr., Rockford, with Pastor Louie Konopka officiating. Interment in Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Blythefield Hills Baptist Church Mission Program. Family and friends may meet at the Pederson Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday and from 10 a.m. until the service at the church on Tuesday.
