Robert Liermann

We lovingly remember our father and friend, Robert L. Liermann, who passed away and returned to the Lord on the morning of September 19, 2010. Robert was born in Chicago, IL on May 5, 1943 and lived a full and active life until just past his 67th birthday. He went to DePaul University where he studied and majored in Business. He began his professional career following his family's success as a manufacturer's representative. He enjoyed the challenges and successes of spending the expanse of his professional life growing and developing Liers Industry. He was actively engaged in all activities related to being close to the water. His summers spent on his boat or the winters spent in Florida were always coordinated with his ability to be close to family and friends whose companionship he loved and appreciated. Bob was charismatic, optimistic, and never short of a joke. Bob's legacy will be shared by many including those who survive him, sister, Lois Walsh and family; daughters, Wendy N. (boyfriend, Rob) Kusler, Tammy (Jeff) Rohrstaff; and his beautiful grandchildren, Jay and Ben Kusler, Ella and Madison Rohrstaff. Please take the time to bid Bob a fond farewell and wish him a "Last Hurrah" in either your own way or by joining with us. The funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 21, 11:00 AM at St Catherine of Siena, 1150 West Center Ave., Portage, MI, 49024, with Father Chris Ankley. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan-Rose Arbor Hospice Residence or to the West Michigan Cancer Center-Patient Care Services Program.
