Richard William Schulz

Richard Schulz, age 89, of Bourbonnais, IL, formerly of Eureka Springs, AR passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Momence Meadows Nursing Home in Momence, IL. Richard was born on January 30, 1924 in Chicago, IL. the son of Edward and Myrtle Schulz. On June 23, 1944 in Montgomery, AL he married Dorothy Reeve. Richard served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer for General Motors for 30 plus years retiring in 1986. He was an Eagle Scout, former member of the Downers Grove Gun Club, a member of First Christian Church of Eureka Springs, AR., enjoyed fishing, watching wildlife, was a master woodcraftsman, and was Mr. Fix-It with no job too big or small.

Richard is survived by his wife Dorothy of Bourbonnais, IL, his children; Susan (Bob) Entner of Sevierville, TN, James Schulz of Rhinelander, WI, Linda (Neal) Hildebrandt of Bourbonnais, IL, Steve (Kim) Schulz, of Whidbey Island, WA, and Patricia (Kelly) Robertson of Lakeville, MN, 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, 3 sisters; Helen Douglas of Downers Grove, IL., Marian (Chuck) Hinkle of Shreveport, LA, and Betty (Jim) McVey of Cadiz, KY,, 3 brothers; Elmer (Edna) Schulz of Downers Grove, IL, Donald (Margaret) Schulz of St. Louis, MO and Robert Schulz Lanark, IL

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Myrtle Schulz.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11am at Calvary Bible Church, 2587 E Armour Rd., Bourbonnais, IL. 60914. 815-932-8733
