Obituary
Randall J. Baar age 73 of Holland died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. Randall was born in Zeeland and graduated from Zeeland High School in 1953, Hope College in 1957, and received his Masters Degree from Michigan State University. He was a Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual for 45 years. He received his CLU, CHFC, and was a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table. Randall was a member of the Third Reformed Church and was active for many years with the Boy Scouts of America and was given the Silver Beaver Award for his lifelong involvement with scouting. Surviving is his wife Judith of 50 years; children-Scott R. Baar of Holland, Sarah and Tim VandenBerg of Holland, and Ann and Robert Feyen of Duluth, MN; daughter-in-law-Lisa Baar of Holland; grandchildren-Matthew Baar, Ellie Baar, Zachary VandenBerg, Hannah Feyen, and Connor Feyen; sister-Olga and Jason Schrotenboer of Zeeland; in-laws-Nancy and James Van Dam of Grand Haven and John Rypma of Holland; nephews, nieces, and cousins. Funeral services will be 3 pm Saturday at the Third Reformed Church with the Rev. Kent Fry officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery. Visiting will be 6-8 pm Friday at the Dykstra Life Story Funeral Homes-Northwood Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the:
