Paul Nelson

Paul was born to Edward N. and Magdalena Spandet Nelson in Dwight, IL. He married Byrdie C. Amenson Nelson January 13, 1945 in Chicago, IL.He worked for Illinois Bell for 36 years as an outside plant engineer and in supervision where he retired in 1982. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Bloomington Consistory, Chicago Medina Temple, American Legion, Illinois Bell Pioneers, Moose and Quadrille Dance Club. Paul was a Quartermaster Regular Army as a Tech Corp. from 1942 to 1945. He also enjoyed working in the yard. Surviving are his Nephews David and Kathy Nelson of Momence, IL and Bruce and Joan Nelson of Belvedere, Il and nieces Cheryl and Nelson Albrecht of Crete, IL and Jan and Don Sparks of Crete, IL.He was preceded in death by his wife, 7 brothers, Jens, Louis, Arthur, Raymond, Robert, Edmund and Albert. His two sisters Mary Cook and Helen Nelson also preceded him in death.
