Life Story / Obituary
A man of many interests, Patrick Halloran made the most of the days he was given while making memories with those he loved along the way.
The entire decade of the thirties was cloaked in hardship due to the unrelenting grip of the Great Depression. Countless Americans were without jobs, which left them struggling to make ends meet. Despite the times of trial in the world around them, a young couple was filled with unspeakable joy to welcome a healthy son into their hearts and home. Baby Patrick made his arrival on August 25, 1939, as one of four sons born to his parents, Martin and Elizabeth “Lillian” (Crosby) Halloran.
Throughout much of his life Patrick was a dedicated worker. He built a successful career as a chemical engineer at the Mcintyre Group.
In addition to his work, Patrick’s family played an important role in his life. He was blessed with six sons including Martin, Patrick, Sean, Rodney, Donald, and Joseph and three daughters: Deborah, Colleen, and Annette. On January 6, 1993, Patrick was united in marriage with Rosemary Pena.
In his leisure time Patrick enjoyed pursuing his interests. He had a special place in his heart for animals, and he particularly enjoyed the companionship of his dog. When looking to get out and be social Patrick enjoyed bowling and golfing, and when he was at home he could often be found watching old movies. For many years he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Through the life of Patrick Halloran we are reminded that each day is a gift to be treasured with those we love. He will be deeply missed and warmly remembered.
