Patricia “Pat” Flowers, age 71, longtime resident of Kankakee, IL, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012. Pat was born on January 22, 1941 in Chicago, IL. to Ernest and Violet (Yerkovich) Harris. She was later married to Ernest Flowers on February 6, 1975 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Kankakee, IL. Pat was a Registered Nurse at Provena St. Mary’s Hospital for many years, as well as co-proprietor of Patern Sewer Maintenance of Kankakee, IL. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing bridge, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband; Ernest, two sons, one daughter, two step-daughters, one step-son, two brothers, step-father, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 11a.m.-2p.m. at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Life Story Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley, 482 Main Street North West Bourbonnais, IL.
