Ollie F. Girard

Ollie F. Girard was born on July 25, 1921 in Laddonia, MO to Adelore Girard and Margaruite Bass. He married Jenny Hahn on July 8, 1962 in Kankakee, Illinois. She died on December 29, 2005. Ollie was a veteran of World War II and richly decorated with the victory medal, American theatre ribbon, European afri middle eastern theater ribbon with 3 bronze battle stars, 3 overseas service bars, 1 service stripe and the purple heart medal.He was a member of the Church of God Worship Center and enjoyed his hobbies of gardening and feeding the birds.Ollie is survived by his son David and Lynn Girard of Grant Park, IL., daughters Marsha Dreeke of ElPaso, TX., and Michelle Lang of Bourbonnais, IL., eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Louis & John Girard and one sister, Marcella White.
