SIGNOR - Marlin Watson Signor, aged 82, of Kentwood, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. In his early years, Marlin was active in the Boy Scout Program and later became a leader. He had been a swimmer, a swim instructor, and his greatest love was sailing. Marlin served in the Korean War where he received a Bronze Star. He retired from the Design Room at Keeler Brass in 1994 after working 25 years. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, and will be deeply missed. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Joyce (Pettis) Signor; his children, Scott (Susan) Signor, Marla (Gary) Signor Faber, David (Jackie) Signor, Linda Signor Madden; grandchildren, Mike (Kim) VanDuine, Rachael (Jeremy) VanDuine Daris, Aimee Signor, and Sean Signor, Kyle Madden; great grandchildren, Michael, Bailey, Stella; sister-in-law, Zona Pettis Bloechl. His parents, Ina and Barnes Signor of Sherrill, New York, preceded him in death. A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 9, at Stroo Funeral Home, with Pastor Todd VanDuine officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Lung Association or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
