Marion Voss

Marion was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on September 5, 1920, the daughter of the late Louis A. and Theresa M. (Reichard) Weiss and went to be with her Lord, on Friday, November 8, 2013, at White Oaks in Lawton. Marion was a lifelong Missouri Synod Lutheran and currently a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw. She was baptized on September 12, 1920 at St. John Amelith Lutheran Church, and confirmed and married at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Saginaw. She was an executive secretary to the president of the former St. Luke's Hospital in Saginaw, retiring in 1986. In her earlier years she enjoyed gardening, cross stitching, knitting, crossword puzzles, couples and ladies card clubs, Detroit Tigers, and spending time with her family. On May 14, 1943 in Saginaw, Marion was united in marriage to Earl E. Voss who preceded her in death on January 7, 2000. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Voss; a sister, Wanda Weiss; and two brothers, Lloyd and Ray Weiss. Surviving are a son, Michael Voss of Saline, MI; daughter, Carol Fechik and husband Larry of Lawton; six wonderful grandchildren, Jennifer, Bryan, Rebecca, Dustin, Paul and Rachel; a great granddaughter, Rosalie Voss; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends, Tuesday, (November 12) 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Eric Gledhill officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church Home Cemetery of Monitor Township, in Bay County, Michigan with Rev. C. William Weis officiating.
