Lloyd Plantier

Lloyd J. Plantier, a devoted father, skilled tradesman, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Oshtemo, MI on December 15, 2024, in the company of loved ones.

Born to Lloyd A. and Evelyn Plantier (neé Matson) on August 30, 1947, Lloyd spent his early years in Taylor, MI before his family relocated to Vicksburg, MI. Lloyd was a proud member of the Vicksburg Community High School class of 1965. His love of learning led him to enroll at Western Michigan University where he earned a degree in biology. Combining his love of science with his practical skills, Lloyd obtained a plumbing license, eventually establishing himself as the proprietor of L.J. Plantier Plumbing. He took great pride in his work and his commitment to quality earned him the respect of his clients and the community.

On April 11, 1970, Lloyd married the love of his life, Carol (neé Decker). Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and devotion until her passing in 2013.

Lloyd is survived by his children, Melissa Plantier and Eric Plantier, his daughter-in-law, Donna Plantier (neé Cameron); his grandchildren, Camryn J. Plantier and Kingston A. Plantier; and his beloved sisters, Kathy Houser, Yvonne DeHeide, and Christine Plantier. He also leaves behind his companion, Cheri Arnold, who brought joy to his later years.

Throughout his life, Lloyd was known for his steadfast kindness, loyalty, and generosity. His legacy will remain in the hearts of all of those who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of life will be held on a future date with details to be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lloyd's memory to the Alzheimer's Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
