Lisa M. Watson, 57, of Kalamazoo, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025. Lisa was born January 30, 1968 in Kalamazoo to William and Bonnie Lou (Dunfield) Stacy. She graduated from Hackett Catholic Central and went on to Kalamazoo Valley Community College. During her working career Lisa worked at United Kennel Club and at Comstock Public Schools.

Lisa married David Watson on October 14, 1989, who survives. Also surviving are their children, Kyle (Skyler) Watson of Traverse City and Morgan (Ryan) Kelly of Plainwell; her mother, Bonnie Stacy; a granddaughter, Ella Watson of Traverse City; her sister, Leslie (Vic) Johnson of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Izzo. She was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Stacy.

Lisa was a genuine soul who loved and remembered everyone she met. She was the go-to for names, birthdates, addresses and phone numbers. She was involved in many activities throughout her life and enjoyed playing softball, bowling and golf throughout her youth. She was a good bowler and was actively involved in women's and couple's leagues throughout her life. Once her kids came along, she enjoyed coaching her daughter in softball at Eastwood Little League and watching both her kids excel in sports.

Lisa was part of a quilting club, Quilting Friends Forever, and she made many beautiful things for her family. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family and friends, many of whom were affectionately deemed "framily." Lisa loved her jobs at Green Meadow Elementary and Comstock Elementary where she was referred to as the "heartbeat" of the school. She was kind, patient and calm and made a profound impact on the kids, staff and community. She loved the Detroit Tigers and watched every game these last two years and even started liking the Detroit Lions.
