Kathleen M. (Meekins) Bagley of Kalamazoo, MI (formerly of North East, PA) passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024. She was born on December 17, 1923, to the late Esty and Anna Mae Meekins, in Weirham, PA. She was raised in Carrolltown, PA and lived there until marriage to her late husband of 68 years, Shelby A. Bagley. She was a former member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in North East.

Kathleen repaired nylon stockings in Ft. Worth, TX during World War II, to help to provide for her growing family while Shelby was in the service. Later, she worked for Wayne Stetson's Hardware and then Welch Foods for 25 years, retiring in 1984. She worked many years for local farmers picking grapes and was also noted for making hundreds of Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Dwaine M. Bagley (December 1997), brothers Marlyn. Meekins of Carrolltown and Dale Meekins of North East. Kathleen is survived by her two daughters Carol Ann Scott (Jack) of Boiling Springs, PA and Wilma Maas (Jim) of Kalamazoo, Mi; six grandchildren Karen Maas of Kalamazoo, MI, Heather Vaughan (Bill) of Morganville, NJ, Jeannie Kalhorn (Michael) of Kalamazoo, MI, Tonya Klees of Rochester, MN, Ian Scott (Darcy) of Dallas, TX, and Shane Bagley (Tianna) of Byron, MN; seven great-grandchildren, Brendan, Megan, Patrick, Bridget and Allison Vaughan, Jillian and Timothy Kalhorn, Waylon and Elliott Bagley; one great-great-granddaughter, Janelle Kalhorn.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to a charity of your choice.

Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East, on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating is Rev. John Stoddard. Interment at the North East Cemetery.
