Joyce M. Beeke, age 81 of Lawton formerly of Kalamazoo, died on March 19, 2025. She was born on August 4, 1943, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Jess and Isabelle (DeWitt) Heacock.

On September 8, 1967, she married John B. Beeke. They had one son named Jeffrey Wade Beeke. Sadly, their son died in 1992, and John died in 2010. For 26 years, Joyce worked in housekeeping for Bronson Methodist Hospital. After her retirement, she worked for the Beacon Club. She enjoyed bowling. Joyce was a collector, and her collections included ceramics, S'mores figurines, key chains, and over 800 salt and pepper shaker sets. She also loved to do crafts and crochet. She was known at her work for making candy and bringing it in to share with co-workers. Joyce was a natural caregiver and as her mother and later her husband aged and grew ill, she cared for them until their deaths. Her family includes her nieces and nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Beeke, her son Jeffrey Beeke, and her three brothers. Friends may visit with her family from 1:00-2:00 PM, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM, at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, North. Donations in memory of Joyce may be made to Centrica Care Navigators.
