John Wesley Whaley

John was born on August 15, 1922 in Donovan, IL. to Lucy E. Paris and Albert Whaley. He married Inez Morgan on June 20, 1946 in Kentland, IN. He was shop formean for International Harvester for 23 years and then for Kankakee Auto Leasing as a manager and was in charge of the school buses for School District III. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946. John was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Kankakee, Il., Kankakee Masonic Lodge #389, Kankakee Shrine Club, Medinah Temple, was a 32 Degree Mason, Eastern Star, Dorcas Chapter #5. He enjoyed traveling, yard work, was very active at his church and served as head usher.He is survived by his wife, Inez of Kankakee, IL., one sister and brother-in-law, June & Louis Johnson of Mahomet, IL., three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Whaley of Watseka, IL., Doris Corbin of Monticello, IN., and Carolyn Morgan of Kentland, IN.and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Whaley.
