DORP John Van Dorp, aged 92, of Byron Center, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, October 29, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Harriet; his children, Evelyn (David) Fennema, Donald (Phyllis) Van Dorp, Sharon (Peter) De Vries, David (Sandy) Van Dorp, Kenneth (Carolyn) Van Dorp; 23 grandchildren; 36 great grand-children; his sisters, Martha Buist, Cynthia (Ben) Kollen; and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Van Dorp, Margaret Vander Ark, Helen (Herm) Scholten, Hilda Rozema. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 1, at Moline Christian Reformed Church, 4341 Chappell St. with Rev. John Ouwinga officiating. Interment in Dorr Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Moline Christian School or The Bible League.
