JoAnn Mursch, aged 90, of Kalamazoo, MI, passed away on September 4, 2024. Born on January 13, 1934, JoAnn dedicated 35 years of her career to National Waterlift. She was a graduate of Portage Central High School and furthered her education at Nazareth College.
JoAnn was known for her generous spirit, willful nature, loving demeanor, and wonderful sense of humor. She was an avid Bingo player, a baseball enthusiast, and enjoyed annual trips to Las Vegas. Her life was enriched by the simple pleasures and surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
She is survived by her brother, Al Spafford and daughters, Sherry (Thomas) Horton and Deonna (Shaheen) Khan; grandchildren, Thomas Jr., Michael (Sarabeth), and Douglas Horton, Ninah, and Lihlee Khan; and great-grandchildren, Breylen, Payton, and Caleb Horton. JoAnn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Mursch, and her parents, Wallace E. Spafford and Anna Pauline Spafford.
A private memorial service will be held with family in the first week of October. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Centrica Hospice in memory of JoAnn Mursch. Her memory and legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
