Jean Ruth Compere passed away Saturday February 28, 2015. She was born on October 20, 1933 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Eugene and Margaret Sivigny. She was united in marriage to John Compere on September 25, 1954. She leaves behind her loving husband John, and 3 children, Randi (husband Peter) Keck, Tom (wife Beverly) Compere and Jim Compere. She has 5 grandchildren: Martin Keck, and Ruth, Elizabeth, Ezra and Shiphrah Compere. Surviving are her sister Dianne Forrey (husband Steve) and brother Darrell Sivigny.
Jean was the bookkeeper for their business Compere Fabrics and also sold real estate for Chuck Jaqua. She and John also ran their business, ExecuSearch, for many years. She was a long time tennis player, played golf, skied, and loved reading, playing cards and doing crossword puzzles.
At her request, she has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Sunday April 12th at 3:00 p.m. at Life Story Funeral Homes, Portage; 5975 Lovers Lane (344-5600). Please check Jean's memory page at www.lifestorynet.com for additional information.
