James (Jim) Johnston

Jim Johnston, 63, of Kankakee IL. was born on July 27, 1947 in Kankakee, IL. to James T. and Bernadette (Menard) Johnston. He married Mary Purcell on April 26, 1969 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley, IL. Jim was employed in various capacities, construction laborer, truck driver, and vending for the Ace company, retiring in 2004. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Jim's favorite past times included fishing [Hides Hole at the Kankakee River], his games on the computer and was known for his great storytelling.Jim is survived by his wife; Mary of Kankakee IL., his mother; Bernadette of Kankakee, one son; James J. Jim (Sallie)Johnston of Bourbonnais, IL., three sisters and three brothers-in-law; Jackie & (William) Neff of Bradley, Janice & (Dan) O'Connor of Kankakee, Joann & (Ken) Schmidt of Houston, TX., three brothers; Joseph Johnston of Kankakee, John and June Johnston of Kankakee, and Jeff and Debbie Johnston of Momence IL.
