Glenn Shaffer

Glenn B. Shaffer Jr., age 80, of Magnolia, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Baptist Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Glenn was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on October 26, 1944. After graduating from Western Michigan University he had a long career in medical sales. He was a long time member of the Lion's Club, the Power Squadron, the Linwood Baptist Church, and a former board member of Hart County Fire Department. He was an avid boater, loved to travel and enjoyed playing bridge. One of his greatest joys was spending time with family and friends.

Glenn was preceded in death by his first wife Brenda Shaffer, a son Glenn Shaffer, his parents Crystal & Glenn B. Shaffer Sr. and Dick & Donna Gorham and two sisters, Sherralynn Walker and Barbara Sweet.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Shaffer of Magnolia, Kentucky, a daughter Donna Shaffer of Bloomington, Illinois, a son Roger (Lisa) Shaffer of Heyworth, Illinois, a daughter-in-law Cecilia Shaffer of Dalton City, Illinois and two grandchildren Kelli (Brian) Aho of Normal, Illinois and Anderson Shaffer, a brother Greg Walker of Wisconsin and a sister Rinde Treptow of Michigan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Glenn was cremated. A Celebration Of Life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 1-4 pm at The Clubhouse at Country Acres Village, 2300 Barney Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49004. Food will be provided.
