Glenn E. Ayers, age 74, passed away Friday July 18, 2008 at Riverside Medical Center. Glenn was born on July 28, 1933 in Weldon, Illinois to Wilbur E. and Irene M. (Peacock) Ayers. He married Joyce Shreffler on July 5, 1974 in Bonfield, Illinois. Glenn worked as the Department Superviser for Schumann Printers in Fall River, Wisconsin retiring in 1995 after 14 years. Glenn also served in the United States Army during the Korean War in the Signal Corps. He was member of the Asbury United Methodist Church where he was a Stephen Minister. He also enjoyed fishing, traveling, coin collecting, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. Glenn is survived by his wife; five daughters; Dianna M. (David) Thorne of New Lennox, Illinois, Mary Jo (Mike) Stadel of Odell, Illinois, Nancy A. (Ron) Davis of Blackstone, Illinois, Jan R. (Jim) Cahill of Ransom, Illinois, Sheila K. and Steve Bressner of Cornell, Illinois, Vicki (Donald) Shiffer, and Rhonda (Ken) Hicks; one brother, Lewis Ayers of Kankakee, Illinois; 16 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gerald Ayers; and two grandsons, Adam Davis and Bret Stadel.
