Eileen (Terpstra) Herbig

HERBIG, EILEEN Eileen Jessie Herbig (Terpstra), aged 80, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Fulton Manor Holland Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Terpstra and Margaret Heyboer; brothers, Donald and Richard Terpstra; sister, Margaret Savage; son, Donald Brydges; and grandson, Jason Mabie. Surviving are her children, Melinda (Robert) Mabie, Pamela Gates, John (Sal) Brydges, Jill (Eric) Anderson, Amy (Tyrone) Williams; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Brydges; sister, Elizabeth (Dennis) Verburg; sisters-in-law, Suzette Axdorff and Bernadette Greitzer; brother-in-law, Robert Savage; and her very special boyfriend, Art Droski. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and 13 nieces and nephews. Eileen worked 28 years and retired from Knape and Vogt Manufacturing Company. She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Creston Post. Please join the family for visitation on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Reyers North Valley Chapel. Additional visitation will be offered at the funeral home on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 10-11 AM followed by the funeral service at 11 AM. Interment in Washington Park.
