Doris Kaiser

Doris Jean Kaiser of Gobles, Michigan, passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 61. Doris was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on April 16, 1963, to Kenneth and Roberta (Kingsley) Covell.

Doris attended West Middle School and graduated from Portage Northern High School in 1981. In 1982, she enlisted in the United States Air Force. Following her military service, Doris worked a number of jobs, including dispatching for the police department and working for the postal service. Eventually, she became employed by Pfizer where she would dedicate 20 years as a chemical operator.

Ever the adventurer, Doris rode motorcycle for over a decade. She found great joy in riding with family and friends, and she was able to ride her motorcycle to all the lower 48 states. With her close friends, she traveled across the world, visiting places in Europe and the Seychelle Islands. Doris was incredibly intelligent, strong-willed, and had a close network of friends who cared deeply for her.

Doris is survived by her son, Phil Kaiser, and her mother, Roberta Covell. She was preceded in death by her father, Ken Covell, and her brother, Jeff Covell.

Services in Doris' honor will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. The family will welcome guests for visitation from 12 pm to 1 pm. A memorial service will begin at 1 pm. Interment will take place at 3 pm on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 W Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012.
