Age 81, went to his heavenly home on February 20, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. David was born on September 5, 1943, in South Hampton, England, the son of Gerald and Audrey (Mulvaney) Horn. David's family moved to America when he was a young child and made their home in Southwest Michigan. He attended Vicksburg High School, Class of 1961, where he would meet the future love of his life, Helen (Brown) Horn. They were united in marriage years later on July 12,1980 and enjoyed 41 years together. David had four passions in life, his faith, family, service to others, and his pets. David had a sharp memory and "British Wit" and was knowledgeable about history and current affairs and enjoyed conversations with family and friends. He dedicated his life to service and worked as a funeral director at Joldersma & Klein and later Redmond Funeral Home. David was also involved in the community and served as a board member for Kairos Dwelling Home and was a member of the Lions Club. When not working, he loved spending time making memories with his wife Helen, traveling, trips to England, visiting friends in Florida and taking cruises. He was passionate and protective of his pets and animals. He had a strong faith and was currently attending Trinity Lutheran Church. Above all David loved his family and friends, and he leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived. His smile, handshake and kindness will be missed by all who know him.
