Daniel Childs

CHILDS - Daniel R. Childs died September 29, 2010. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to B. Jane Walter and Henry B. Childs, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Sallie, and brother, Terry. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Terri; his daughters, Nancy (Dan) Pearce and Jennifer (Stewart) Weicken; sister, Tracie (Russ) Blakely; and brothers, Tim (Joan) Childs, Harry Childs, Henry Childs, James Childs and Jack Childs; grandchildren, Geremy Pearce, Andrew (Brie) Pearce, Zachary Weicken, Shyanne Weicken and Austin Pearce; and many nephews and nieces. Mr. Childs was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps, from which he retired after 20 years of active service to our country. Thereafter, he worked for Rockwell International and the USO of Metropolitan Washington, before fully retiring in 2001. Mr. Childs will be interred in Arlington National Cemetery.
