Cynthia Cote

Mrs. Cynthia Jo Cote, 65, wife of 43 years to Joseph W. Cote, entered into rest on Friday, September 27, 2013 at University Hospital in South Carolina.

Mrs. Cote was from St. Anne, IL. She was a graduate of Kankakee School of Practical Nursing and was an LPN for 44 years. Her nursing career found her at St. Mary’s Hospital in IL, Orangeburg Regional Medical Center in SC, and the Medical College of Georgia.

Additional survivors include one son, Jason W. Cote; one daughter, Catherine J. Cote; her mother, Mary Shannon; three sisters, Judy Mulder, Vickie Franklin, Linda Tharp; and one granddaughter, Jessica J. Hutto. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph R. Landroche. Mrs. Cote was a caring woman with a passion for helping others. She has touched the lives of many people throughout her life and will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, and a truly amazing grandmother. Her memory and time shared will live on forever in the hearts of her family and loved ones.

A gathering time for family and friends will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Schreffler Life Story Funeral Home Kankakee Chapel from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Cynthia’s funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Fanale officiating. Following the service burial will be at Kankakee Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to family wishes.
