Clarence Wierenga

WIERENGA - Clarence Wierenga, aged 87, of Caledonia, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, December 30, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Dollice; and several brothers and sisters. He will be dearly missed by his children, Tom (Linda) Wierenga, Carol (Clarence Kimbler) Caldwell, Beverly (Gary) Webb, Loreen Meyer, Vicki (Pete) Fifelski; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sisters, Glady (Gerald) Wierenga, Blanche (Art) Bradley, Ruth (Harry) Stalsonburg; sister-in-law, Harriet Wierenga, Mary Weikert; brother-in-law, Gerald McNew; and many nieces and nephews. Clarence proudly served our country as a member of the US Navy on the USS Kwajalein. Funeral services for Clarence will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 4125 - 18th Street, Dorr with Pastor Stephen Otto officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post #127 in Dorr.
