Charles Richard Nagy, 83, of Foley Alabama, passed away February 23, 2025 after a brave battle with dementia. Charles was born to Charles G and Matilda W. Nagy on August 8 1941 in Kalamazoo Michigan. He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather (and very recently) great grandfather. Surviving relatives include his cherished wife Nancy of 59 years, sister and husband Marietta and Gary Swain, daughter and husband Andrea and Jacob Struijk, son and wife Jason and Denise Nagy, granddaughters Tori and Taylor. He will be dearly missed. Chuck was always supportive and encouraging to family and friends and never failed to insert his sense of humor, gregarious laughter and wit to every conversation. He found great comfort in learning about and expressing his faith and enjoyed attending his community church whenever possible.
His hobbies included restoring wooden boats for many years and antique cars. These projects allowed him to meet and maintain many long time friendships. He always had "special project going". He loved traveling throughout our beautiful country and especially loved to spend time in Northern Michigan And South Haven Michigan.
Organizations included: Antique auto restorers of Kalamazoo, Tin Can tourists, Burn pile restorations, Lions club of Kalamazoo, and various other community and church groups.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and enjoyed meeting and sharing stories with other veterans that he met throughout his lifetime.
Chuck will be remembered fondly and missed dearly. Family will be having a private memorial service in the near future. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Lions club of Kalamazoo or your local Alzheimer's Association
