Benton Eugene Finefield

Benton was born January 1, 1925 in Campus, IL. to Vyetta Hare and Lawrence Finefield. He married Mildred Coy in Kankakee Illinois in 1946. Benton retired from General Foods Company after 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy, was an avid Notre Dame, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing. He ws a former member of the Moose Lodge and Knights of Columbus.Benton is survived by sons Thomas [Rhonda] of St. Augustine, FL., James of New Bedford, MA., sister Sherry [Sheldon] Marquart of Springfield, IL., Jackie [Norman]Conner of St. Anne, IL., brothers Lawrence [Ginger]Finefield of Janesville, WI., Kevin [Debra]Finefield of Bourbonnais, IL., daughter-in-law, Donna Finefield of St. Anne, IL, step-mother Doris Dixon of Bourbonnais, IL., 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mildred, sons Vernon and Robert Finefield, daughters, Vyetta Harms and Patricia Evans.
