Wilma Thomas

Passed away Tuesday June 26, 2012. Wilma was born in Perry, Oklahoma on August 27, 1931 to the late Jess and Jennie (Brummitt) Trumbla. On May 12, 1947 she was united in marriage to Edward E. Thomas, who survives. In addition to her husband of 65 years Wilma is also survived by her children, Glenn (Vera) Thomas and Patricia (Roger DeYoung) Thomas-DeYoung; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters. In addition to her parents, Wilma is preceded in death by her sons, Gary E. and Larry L. Thomas. She was a member of Comstock Methodist Church and the Comstock VFW. Wilma worked for Comstock Public Schools, Verdries Nursing Home, and in 1994 retired from Western Michigan University's Food Service Department. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Wilma's honor may be made to Kairos Dwelling.
