Rosemary Kemp

Rosemary Kemp, age 75, of Albion, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing. She was born May 18, 1931 in Missouri to Fred and Clara (Turner) McGee. In 1948 Rosemary married David Kemp, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1984. She was a nurse's aide for Morgan Facilities Adult Foster Care in Marshall for 32 years. She then worked 8 more years at the Provincial House. Rosemary was a member of Grace Temple Church Of God In Christ. She enjoyed reading her Bible, taking care of people and cooking. Most of all, she enjoyed her family. Survivors include: Daughters Clarissa & Rev. Freddie Graham of Albion, Joyce Evans of Lansing, Renee Kemp of Lansing, Sandy & Pastor Leodis Graham of Battle Creek, Sons Elder Cordell & Lavon Kemp of Battle Creek, David L. Kemp of Albion, Sister Ora Nelson of Albion, Special Aunt Rosie Autman of Albion, Godchild Nathan Mugahid of Albion, Foster Daughter Doris Applewhite of Grand Rapids, (25) grandchildren and (33) great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosemarie K. Kemp, (2) sons, Elwood Freddie Kemp and Gregory Kemp, a sister, Lela, a brother, Cephus and a special niece, Ella Johnson.

Funeral Service will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Grace Temple Church Of God In Christ in Albion with Elder Stephen Williams officiating. Family Hour will be prior to the service from 11 AM - Noon. Interment follows at Riverside Cemetery. There will be a visitation Tuesday, March 20, from Noon - 8 PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion.
