Obituary
Melvin "Mel" Wolters, age 65 of Holland, has gone to be with his Lord and Savior. After being blessed with many years of enduring friendships, fond memories and love for his family. Mel leaves a legacy of faith, love, honesty, integrity, character and excellence to all who knew him. Mel was a member of Christ Memorial Church, where he served as an elder and deacon. He also was a Sunday School Teacher, and volunteered at the Good Samaritan Center. He enjoyed gardening and reading. He was an avid sports fan and a graduate of Zeeland High School. Mel retired from Pfizer in 2003 after 36 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rose; children, Tim and Rajean Wolters of Zeeland, Lori and Eric Terpsma of Holland; Three Grandchildren: Jarod Wolters, Kendra and Corbin Terpsma; Brother: Jason and Sandy Wolters of Zeeland; Sisters and Brothers in Law: Gloria and Rich Tuls of Holland, Al and Jane Van Den Bosch of Grand Rapids, Darlene and Rod Scholten of Holland; Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Saturday, May 26 in the Sanctuary at Christ Memorial Church, 595 Graafscchap Road, Holland with the Reverend Steven Vander Molen officiating. Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Notier Ver Lee Langeland Funeral Chapel, 315 E 16th St., Holland. Burial will be in Zeeland Cemetery. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
