Leonard Troost

Leonard Troost, aged 78, of Caledonia, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Monday, November 5, 2007. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Melissa Troost. Len will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Donna (Nagel); his children, David and Char, Roger and Sue, Judy and Tom Kaechele, Cathy, Linda and Randy LeFebre, Nancy and Steve Harkema; grandchildren, Angie and Dave Kloosterman, Matt Troost, Sarah Troost, Jane and Justin DeJonge, Amy Troost, Leslie and Greg Hawkins, Jessica Troost, Kurtis Kaechele, Kevin Kaechele and fiance Layle Wiersma, Dan and Liz LeFebre, Tim and Elizabeth LeFebre, Jim LeFebre, Ben LeFebre, Matt LeFebre, Nick Harkema, Jenny Harkema, Lisa Harkema, Joe Harkema; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Sydney and Brayden Hawkins, Drew and Garrett Kloosterman; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Troost; and brother-in-law, Arnold and Astrid Kocsner. Len and Donna spent their years together doing what they loved, Dairy Farming. Once retired, they enjoyed going for rides, hunting, fishing and camping with family and friends. Nothing made Len happier than his faith, family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, at Moline Christian Reformed Church, 4341 Chappell St., with Rev. John Ouwinga officiating. Interment in Hooker Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Moline Christian School.
