John T. Wustman Sr., age 80, went quietly and peacefully to be with his Lord, Sunday, March 30, 2008. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ted Wustman, and three sisters, Florence Smallegan, June VanOverloop, and Vivian Berends. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jurane Wustman (Boes); his children, Mary and Jerry Peck of Hudsonville, Jack and Cheryl Wustman of Saranac, Cyndy and Dan Kopp of Wayland, John Jr. and Katy Wustman of Wyoming, Joannie and Scott Bouman of Holland; grandchildren, Kristin and Terry Milnamow (Braden, Camden, Lainie, Joey), Dustin and Renee Peck, Jacob Wustman, Dawn and Jeff Massom (Olivia, William), Jenny Kopp (Megan), John III and Courtney Wustman, Rachel Wustman, Alison Bouman. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Arlene Wustman, and brothers-in-law, Gordon VanOverloop, Roger Berends and Pierson Brower; many nieces, nephews and friends. John was born to Harm and Marie Wustman on January 9, 1928, and was a life-long resident of Byron Center. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a strong man, and a hard worker. Most importantly, he devoted his whole life to his family. The family wishes to thank the staff at Railside Assisted Living Center for their loving care. A time for relatives and friends to visit with John's family will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St. SW. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Reformed Church of Corinth, 129 - 100th St. SE. Rev. Warren Burgess will be officiating.
