Jessica Jo Creighton, age 27, passed away Friday, January 15, 2010, at her home in Holland, Michigan, after a short battle with leukemia.
Jessica graduated from Manistique High School class of 2000. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University. She was employed by Ottawa County Juvenile Detention Center as a youth specialist.
Jessica enjoyed being with family and spending time at her family’s camp. She loved her dogs Lola and Louie. She especially loved being an aunt to her nephew Connor.
She is survived by her parents, James and Catherine Creighton of Manistique; brother, Curtis and Sara Creighton and nephew Connor of Jenison; grandparents, Jack and Helen Creighton of Manistique; William and the late Joan Jessick of Manistique; aunts and uncles, Karen and DeWayne Nygard of Marquette, MI, John and Jenifer Creighton of Man-istique, Mary Johnson of Lansing, Nancy and James Means of Zeeland, Carla and Kevin Brower of Zeeland; several cousins.
A memorial service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 23, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church of Manistique 435 Oak Street. Pastor Dave Hueter will be officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in the spring.
Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00PM prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Make a Wish Foundation, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Zion Lutheran Church of Manistique or a charity of ones choice.
