James Rich

RICH - Mr. James Rich, aged 71, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord after years with heart disease. Surviving are his wife, Maryann of 45 years; their children, Joseph (Lisha) Rich, Maryann (Jeff) Duby; grandchildren, Joseph Rich (Alexis), Amanda Duby (Andrew), Angela Duby, Kyle Duby and Tyler Duby; great grandson, Lukas James Duby-DenHof; brothers and sisters, John Rich, Ethel (Bob) Thebo, Shirley Lawton, Barbara Herring, Robert Rich, Betty Rich, Mary Jane Storey, Joanne (Barry) Lipscomb, Carol (Jim) Morehouse, Judy (Larry) Bennet; special family member Tracie who graciously gave the gift of life to Maryann and nephew, Tom Rich; several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ethel Rich; and brothers, William and Joseph Rich. James worked for many years at Corduroy Rubber before retiring from Steelcase after eight years of service. Funeral services and Military Honors will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE., with Rev. Mike C. Fedewa officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
