Mr. James A. Hoek, age 67, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Elinor Hoek; and his brother, Arthur Hoek. He leaves behind his sons, Kenneth Hoek, Kevin (Sheryl) Hoek, and Jason (Robin) Hoek; their mother, Judy Hoek; grandchildren, Crystal, Ryan, and Alex; special friend, Connie; brothers and sister, Roger, Jerry, and Lois; many nieces and nephews, and friends, Al and Sharon. A memorial service will be held Sunday, 1 p.m. at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 840 Wilson NW, Walker. Relatives and friends may meet Jim's family Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home (west building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville.
