Obituary
Jacquelyn “ Holwerda” Bakker, age 56, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at her home in Port Sheldon.
Jacquelyn was born, raised, and lived her whole life in Holland. She was a graduate of Holland Christian High School in 1972. Jacquelyn was a member of Harlem Reformed Church and was employed by Lithobar of Holland.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brian J. Bakker in 2006; and her parents, Klass and Tina Holwerda.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Michael J. Bakker; and daughters, Rachael and Todd Geerlings of Holland, Angie and Brian Bartos of Traverse City; daughterin- law, Jennifer Bakker of Holland; five grandchildren; parents- in- law, Clayton and Arlene Bakker of Port Sheldon; brother and sisters, Margaret and Frank Van Veelen of North Port, Florida, Jenny and Dale Theodore of Holland, Ed and Valerie Holwerda of Raleigh, North Carolina; brother and sisters- in- law, Roslyn and Curt Nienhuis, Douglas Bakker, Hope and Arie DooLaard, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11: 00 a. m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Harlem Reformed Church, 6854 144th Avenue in Holland. Rev. John Nyitray will be officiating.
Visitation will be 6- 8 p. m. Friday, March 4, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street in Holland.
