Geraldine (Schroeder) Poggi

POGGI - Mrs. Geraldine June Poggi (nee Schroeder), aged 89, of Troy, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Wednesday June 29, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Poggi, her sons Jeffrey Poggi and John Poggi, her brothers Robert, Edward, Richard, Jack Schroeder. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Santa R. Zawaideh of Birmingham, MI; her son, Joseph A. (Betty Jane) Poggi of Birmingham, MI; daughter-in-law, Karen Poggi; grandchildren, Gabe (Renee) Zawaideh, Jalal (Megan) Zawaideh, Louis (Gina) Zawaideh, Amanda (Marko) Berishaj, Andrew Poggi, Danielle Poggi, Maria Santa Poggi; her 11 beloved great-grand-children; sisters-in-law, Arlene Schroeder, Nancy Poggi, Lucille Kazma, Edith DelRaso; many nieces and nephews. For many years Geraldine worked in the office of St. Mary's Church, Grand Rapids. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday July 9, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name Parish, 630 Harmon, Birmingham, MI 48009 where the family will accept visitors one hour before the service.
