Frieda Eder

EDER - Frieda Fiegel Eder, age 96, passed away on February 17, 2010. She was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on December 23, 1913, the daughter of Albert and Hannah (Stein) Fiegel. She attended Perry School, the old Tappan Junior High, Ann Arbor High School and graduated from University of Michigan in 1935. She married Jules Eder in 1940 and they had almost 57 years together before he passed away in 1998. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Suzanne Eder of Edwardsville, IL, son, James Eder of Manitou Beach, MI; grandchildren, Scott Eder, Kelly Thompson-Hess, Dana Eder, Anna Eder, Kathleen Eder, Kevin Eder; great granddaughter, Kayla Thompson; nieces, Marilyn Tucker, Barbara Rolinski; and several grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Frieda will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 1501 West Liberty Street, Ann Arbor, MI. A graveside burial service will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Ann Arbor. The family will receive friends at the church before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Zion Lutheran Church or University of Michigan Musical Society. Arrangements entrusted to the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Ann Arbor.
